The Coffee Shop , Osmotherley
Worth The Trip
I can’t get my partner out of here, it’s his favourite place to visit whenever we’re nearby. From excellent coffee and homemade cake to avocado on toast with poached eggs and bacon, this place never disappoints. There’s also a resident spaniel, who’ll happily welcome you through the door (just don’t feed him).
For me, this cafe is closely linked to one of my favourite local training routes. Years ago, someone took me out and showed me the route from the Sheep Wash, up Beacon Hill to the mast, across to Lady Chapel and back down into Osmotherley. This cafe is the perfect place to either finish your walk, or to have as a halfway point when exploring the Cleveland way. You can then take the quick route back through the camp site and by the reservoir, or you can continue on the Cleveland way a bit further and loop back round.
Whether you’re finishing the walk, stopping halfway round, or simply visiting the village, The Coffee Shop is the perfect place to refuel before heading home.
Dog friendly, perfect for walkers and cyclists
One of our favourite places to stop at while walking on the Cleveland Way.
OS Map route is for a 6.43mile loop where the cafe is halfway, you can start in the village and finish at the cafe instead while using the same map and GPX file.
